Hi, I'm Taleaya Miles.
Founder of Learning for Miles.
Learning for Miles began with a simple belief: Personal development should help us do more than learn, it should help us build.

The name Learning for Miles represents both family and forward movement. Miles is not only my family name, but it captures what I believe about personal development: every lesson, every goal, and every skill has the potential to carry us and the generations after us a little farther.
Learning for Miles exists because I wanted my son and I to have access to personal development resources that feel like they were actually made for us. These resources that are rooted in my commitment to being a mom whose son could be proud, and I understand that journey starts with how I care for myself both in his presence and absence. Personal development shouldn't be generic or ignore real-life struggles that Brown and Black people, in particular, face. So, Learning for Miles is a place where my ideas live together in a way that feels honest and practical for people who look like my son and I.

Food for Thought

To create practical, engaging personal development resources that support learning, personal growth, and opportunity.
A future where Black and Brown children and adults can access practical and culturally representative resources that reflect their lives.
Focusing on personal growth to stabilize future generations.
Learning is lifelong. I don't think families should have to choose between laying the foundation or maintaining the grounds.
My education and career in Human Services supports my mission to address the needs of people who have a shortage of personal development resources. Individuals, families, and communities who lack access to or reject the idea that personal development is a cornerstone for future planning, is what inspires me beyond my maternal goals. Everyone deserves support. And hopefully with Learning for Miles, no one will have to go without it.
